Kids Write to Inspire our Community:Students discover the power of putting their thoughts on paper, and the importance of keeping a journal or diary. Author, Marie Elena Cortes, shares her personal adventures from her journals, and how she comes up with her stories. Kids Write to Know Healthy Notes:Kids Write to Know Healthy Notes. Students will understand that in order to fulfill their goals in life, they need to be healthy responsible citizens. In this workshop students also learn to take notes and write poetry. 4 hrs. session-$500 (Healthy snacks can be provided by school) Fee for Veggie Pals $200 (dressed up veggie characters) (go up) |

Kids Write to Know Environmental Research:Kids Write to Know Environmental Research. Students will view a video and understand that environmental awareness and safety are an important part of our lives. In this workshop students learn how to research and create their own documentaries by using multimedia resources with the help of the Houston Institute fro Culture. Students share their discoveries and creations with their community at an Environmental Fair. 12 hrs. session plus organization of Environmental Fair (within two weeks of workshop)-$1,500. (go up) |

Kids Write to Know a Descriptive Story:Kids Write to Know a Descriptive Story. Students will enjoy story telling and get inspired with authors Marie Elena Cortes and Biomar Brito. Students will learn how to write a descriptive narrative to pass the state writing test. 8 hrs. workshop and art-writing exhibit-$1,500. (go up) |

Kids Write to Know Financial Literacy. Students learn to become "money smart" and how to start saving for college. Students also learn how to write a persuasive essay to encourage other students to save money. 4 hrs. workshop-$500. (go up) |
